Mysore style is a guided self-practice within a group setting. Mysore style is one on one interaction between student and teacher. Mysore Style means, you will be introduced step by step to the practice of Ashtanga Yoga. Mysore Style means your yoga practice will be tailored to your individual needs. In other terms: In Mysore Style it’s just you, your mat, your breath, your rhythm, your mind – and some Asana. Some do more, others do less. But we’re all in the same room. Working, breathing, evolving together. The whole scenery is guided, accompanied, supported, carried, nourished, accentuated, highlighted, orchestrated by an apt teacher. Just make sure to allow enough time to finish your practice with ease without rushing.

The soothing energy of the Shala together with the delicious privilege to spend some time with yourself on your yoga mat are nourishing and healing in itself. It does not take much time to do some good and sincere yoga. However, from time to time it’s nice to have some extra time.

The only thing you need is an open mind, some curiosity about learning to be with yourself and your troubles, a little bit of discipline and the sincere wish to learn what yoga is about.
